The Role of Illness and Spiritual Path

In learning I have had Covid 19 some three times now life is ever unfolding. What it does to the mind and the body and how it can and does change your outlook on so many levels.

I was so sick and so ignored by the medical process that the fight was mine and mine alone. Too maybe that was the right path to take as I was not filled with medicine that would have done nothing. I had to let the body do the work for me like it is meant to do on many levels.

While it did take me down in mood at times it never defined me. I went to work and did what I could I kept the family life up, the house up how I could. Everyday was a fight but one I was taking on.

Spiritually it made me value more the little things in life, in finding those "tools" that are out there to make life easier. Being able to ask for help to pick something up off the floor or move something for you. I have taken a grabber tool to work and have no issues having customers see me trying to use it. Where before Covid 19 I would have pulled the back to get to the floor. I learned the body will not do somethings anymore.

Long Haul Covid is a real thing, while my Dr says its age and blood sugar levels I know well whom I am now and whom I was. I have a very physical job that I do in retail, some way younger than I struggle to do it.

I have the support of my family around me, and they still need me. I too am thankful for those on line I have around me.

Spiritually my abilities never left me or changed so that is a blessing as we head into yet another year. You will note that I have started the thread for the Year Ahead Readings for 2023.

That will show you all I hope that Lynn is back to the most normal I can be in life. LOL My cat is looking at me like ok you can touch me. She has a new "dog" bed as at 18 pounds she is a large one. Hubby is napping on the sofa before work and I am on my way out the door.

Life is good again.

Illness is a reality check that visits us every now and then. It brings our limitations to the fore. It can serve as a check on the ego.
