Raccoons nesting in the chimney

There are baby raccoons in the chimney here... I think I made them cry today during my afternoon music practice. Good to have an audience who appreciates me.

We had someone check it out and decided to just leave them, since it's blocked off and never used. Does anyone know if they're particularly sensitive to noise or if they just like to raise a ruckus up there every now and then? I didn't get a chance to talk to the expert.
