A medium connects to an entity on her or his own level or even below.
Channeling is making a connection to an entity or being above their own density.
If you read the Ra Material or the Law of One you can see what it takes to make a connection between third density and sixth density.
Most channeling is done between this density and the lower fifth density or higher forth.
