It has always been my belief that God doesn't want us to have physical proof of his existence, at least not the direct kind. If people were to choose goodness on the basis of wanting a reward, or for being afraid of punishment, then the whole point would be moot. I think that God wants us to choose goodness for its own sake, and that by searching for the root of goodness we lead ourselves closer to God.

That's it, its your belief, and that is as far as you can ever go, a mere belief.

What sort of deception and lies are you talking about? Is this how you argue? By making false statements? Perjury? There are ghost hunters all over the country who have obtained audio and video evidence of ghosts? I can think of two videos where apparitions were caught on video. But you don't care. Your opinion is hardened, therefore you will not even look at the evidence or consider it thoughtfully.

Don't even worry about justifying yourself to revolver. revolver is a hardened skeptic whose opinion is impossible to change regardless of whatever evidence is presented. Some people are irrationally skeptical.

I can't speak for Revolver, but personally I do believe in things of the spirit. They are not detectable by science, and therefore, are a matter of faith.
Not sure about ghosts, but God certainly exists. imo

I'll go along with that. And it's a good think that God exists. We should be grateful even if that God is the Christian biblical God, because that God rested on the seventh day. If we put the skeptic-atheists in charge, they would work us like slaves, 18 hour days with no weekend for weeks. You can see this sort of thing happening in academia. Those poor students have to work themselves to death to stay competitive in this world.
