What's in your herb garden?
I've been planning a few expansions to my herb garden to accommodate a few more mints (the Bees love it and so do I ) and some soap wort, and it got me wondering what everyone else has in their herb gardens.
So, what have got? What couldn't you be without?

We have herbs throughout the garden, if I name them all it would be a long list.
We counted them once and we came up with about 50 but I am sure we lost a few.
Just to name a few:
Basil (annual and perennial)
Parsley
Sage
Rosemary
Lovage
Thyme
different Mints
Marjoram
Summer savory (Bohnenkraut)
Sorrel
French Tarragon
Comfrey
Hops
Land cress
Horse radish
Marigold
Hyssop
Lavender
Lemon balm
Pennyroyal
Bay
Chives
Purslane (not that I planted it)
Lemon Verbena
not to forget Pennywort (Gotu Kola)

Right now it is all under snow. But there was lavender, rosemary, lemon thyme, marjoram, spearmint, chocolate mint, lemon grass, oregano, spicy oregano, lemon balm and basil. I know the basil and lemon grass did not winter over, but you never know about the others. :-)

After I'm confident winter is over I'll have thyme, basil, rosemary and sage... Maybe something else if I discover something else I like the taste of.

I ended up planting some tomato seedlings that were just popping up in the earth when i moved in and put then in my permaculture setup.
20 or so and all going well, just one that has not lasted the distance.
I had some seeds laying around that i picked up on a promo,a few years old, though old,i threw them in,nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I have some basil coming up now, cucumber, rocket lettuce,...pumpkin just leftover seed i've consumed and thrown in.
Exciting actually i've found and being my first vegie patch.
Love it...I love anything that 'grows' from the earth.

What do you think of cloned plants?

What I mean is to what extent would a cloned plant cohabit healthily with the plants it had been cloned from? Being a copy would it seem like a twin flame, a reflection or exactly the same as the original, and would that cause problems for the development of the garden?
