Hello Miss Hepburn,
My apologies for the late response... I'm having computer problems.
I found this online referencing Daniel Ladinsky (from his book, The Gift) like Miha mentioned.

My apologies
Dear all,
I just found out that all the beautiful poems I posted were sadly not a translation of the original words of the Persian mystic Hafiz.
All these poems got really known worldwide due to the books of Daniel Ladinsky, who published them with Hafiz name on it, stating that these were poems from Hafiz, ’Translated by Daniel Ladinsky’.
I’m very sorry that I did not research this whole subject before starting this thread.
I’m so sad to found out the truth just now and just embarrassed.
My humble apologies to all who thought they found some authentic words of Hafiz in my posts.
I truly believed myself that these were translations of the original Persian words.
I never meant to deceive anyone on purpose.
I will ask the admins of this forum how to handle this thread or to delete it if needed.
Again, I’m very sorry.
