How does astrology affect your religious practices?

Hmmm, no answers so far. Perhaps many people here make a distinction between spiritual practices and religious practices, and they do not follow any particular religion. And maybe those that would say they belong to a particular religion have never considered the astrological implications.

In a broader sense there is an obvious link between astrology and religion. The past 2,000 years have been the Age of Pisces. This manifests in the tradition of hierarchy and obedience to authority. As we move into the Age of Aquarius there should be an increasing tendency for people to look within for their own spiritual authority.

And Christianity has been a great example of Pisces along with its opposite sign of Virgo. So we have the idea of the Virgin giving birth to the Christ consciousness, which then manifests as the Piscean self-sacrifice. And the fish (the symbol of Pisces) was an early Christian symbol. And Jesus said to his disciples something like "You are fishermen but I will make you fishers of men."

And there is a lot of symbolism in the Bible, and it may be possible to see Jesus and his twelve apostles as symbolic of the Sun and the twelve signs of the zodiac, but I have never really looked into this.

Regarding our personal birth chart and spirituality, then Neptune is the planet associated with mysticism. So the position of Neptune in our chart may say something about our mystical nature. And Scorpio is the sign associated with the trials of discipleship while Capricorn is the sign associated with the achievement of initiation. And the sign of the ascendant supposedly gives a clue as to our Soul purpose for this incarnation.

But this is a very broad subject.

I for one can say my religion is spirituality and I don't believe in Astrology

Astrology helps me be way kinder - understanding a person's basic tendencies.
(I have no religion, tho. But I think I get what the op was after.)
