The Allegory of the Last Supper

I cannot help feel on this Holy Thursday that the message of the Last Super is striking in it's approximation
of Divine Destiny and Worldly Power. A function Room of some sort in Jerusalem might well be any Boardroom
occupying our Modern World.

The currency on offer is total redemption, divine destiny and love, expressed through the body and blood of Jesus
which is then debased into the currency of worldly power, betrayal and gangland type conspiracy.

It's such a striking allegory and the two currencies, divine and worldly, body and blood of Jesus, 12 Sovereigns
of Judas is perhaps one of the most striking contrasts if not the most striking contrast in history.

My first question is, is it wrong to see this allegory in Last Supper ? Although it would be hard to avoid it.
And are some Christians offended by the reading of the Last Supper I have just outlined ? Thanks.

I enjoy the Lord's supper. How it makes me feel the inside, the jolt in my spirit, the feeling of Divine sorrow, being in Christ and Christ being in me. If it is blessed and one believes that the bread indeed is the flesh and the wine indeed is the blood by the Holy Ghost, it is truly a transformational experience!

The Judas betrayal is very interesting. Without him doing what he did, Jesus would never have been able to complete his earthly mission, Judas was a very interesting key character when you get right down to it. Perhaps God could have found other ways to have Jesus Crucified, the cards were on the table.

Looking at the world today I am trembling in my boots. Vlad is on a mission of darkness, not unlike it was for Judas, with the Russian Orthodox church as his moral support or pawn no less. The picture there has many shades of grey, and some very dark edges, Lord have Mercy on this epic Easter season is all I can say... what is going on.

Love this little clip of Judas singing, and the women too, so sweet with nothing but good intent.. Lol.

The last supper is such an amazing precursor of the transition/transformation of Jesus, into Christ! Lord have Mercy, I believe and have been to the table in remembrance of you.. it was an invitation to us all, come eat and drink, do this in memory of me.

Hope you have a blessed Easter thank you for sharing. I have attended
a few Benedictine retreats at Easter with Father Lawrence, the head of
the Christian Meditation Community. We followed Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection
very closely and benefitted in our daily lives. Deep stuff.

Nice clips. Judas expressing the whys and wherefores of the demography
and campaigning within Jesus' life is funny alright.

State and Church is an ongoing theme all over the world. Interesting clip.

Have a good Easter.
