Fairies Painting, Fairies & Angels

A magic brush would be great, hihi. I take it I wouldn't have to clean those. Nice benefit as I never fancy cleaning up the little paint-palet-plates and brushes.

I don't feel I'm going fast as it seems I keep tweaking the same section of the painting.
Maybe I should regard is at enhancing and finishing off that section as opposed to tweaking. It is a more accurate and positive way of thinking.

A close-up of the soldiers & Highlanders. I'll do a few minor updates here and there, thin lines, nothing major anymore.

Liking the addition of fighter with flag.
And daft as it might sound I'm liking the grass around the main fighters . Gives the illusion they are on a little hillock , unless it's my dodgy eyes LOL.

I did the same around the cottage, but then noticed my values weren't right and I was too tired to clean the li'l palet thingie and start afresh. I decided to go over it without that much detail.
You can still see it a bit, and I did fine grass stalks up against the cottage to make it blend in.

But I like the section of grass around the fighters as well so I'm keeping that :)

As it is I'm in two minds about adding the mist, or much mist, around the fighters, which had been my initial plan.
I'll see.
Also in two minds about adding a fountain of mud -so to speak- behind the fighters in the background which were created by canon balls landing in the dank soil.
It would add some nice background fill, something that is taller than the rest which is pretty much on the same line. On the other hand I feel it'd take away from the fighters.
After all the real thing was likely misty, unclear, chaotic, but I can't go as far as that in the painting lest I lose too much clarity and detail. It'd look like a smudgy thing, having people wonder "What the heck is that?"
I think I'm close to that stage as it is.

There will be some higher filling to the left of the cottage. There are a few trees there (for real) and I will paint some overhanging branches.
Hopefully that will balance it out a bit so the top isn't a huge empty space.

I've added some mist around the fighters.
The initial plan had been to have the mist be much thicker, but now I don't want to do that anymore. I'd rather not lose too much detail.

Not finished yet with the painting.

Didn't have time to paint the last couple of days, had all kinds of appointments.
As it is, I'm not 100% certain myself how to finish it off, hihi. But it'll come :)
