You can have an awakening or awakenings and be lucid in the dream and talk about it, teach, write books but if you are still here in the world then you are still sound asleep, stuck in the dream, still veiled and seeing through the glass darkly to some degree.
When becoming lucid in a dream one is no longer trapped by the falsehood of the dream. Even though one is apparently still 'in' the dream it is know and beyond a shadow of doubt that the dream is inside the dreamer.

i was thinking last night, on the nature of knowing beyond the shadow of a doubt.... and I'm not convinced that within the scope of this particular dream, there is ever anything beyond declaring what I want to declare and then for me it becomes so. In particular the kind of 'metrics' which lead to 'proof' in terms of 'something absolute' seem unattainable unless again I just declare they are somehow attainable and then believe my own hype and go off to attain them.

Even declaring there is an 'intrinsic and absolute meaning' which 'I can somehow find' seems more of the same, it just sets me running in a different direction than I was before...

Then this morning i read something I think where spirit guide sparrow was answering someone, he seemed to be saying that is exactly how this place is designed anyway.

Absolutely but in being mindful one controls the ego understanding the ego has knowledge to. The unconscious is first. One is just not immediately aware as it becomes a thought. It is what thought is attached to, memory or reality. It is when ego points to reality that should not missed as well imo. But there is unknown awareness. Conscious mind has the same knowledge. Free-will.

Exactly, this makes me ask the question, is the ego/mind that is free of illusion, maya or ignorance, still the same ego/mind, we are talking about?
