Do Animals have Souls?

I would be interested to know what others think on this.

I believe that they do and therefore it is WRONG to farm, kill or eat them.
I am particularly interested on hearing from people who believe that animals have souls but DO NOT think that it is wrong to farm, kill or eat them.

Peace and love to all.

Do animals have souls? Yes.

Is it wrong to farm, kill and eat them? Yes.

I totally believe that animals have souls.

As for farming, killing and eating them:

I think that if the animals are raised on a farm where they are free to roam, graze, run around, etc. (basically be happy and not in cages) and not fed a diet of chemicals/antibiotics, etc...then a farm can be a wonderful place.

If we are going to eat animals, then they of course need to be killed first! I think if the animals are treated with respect, and killed in a humane way that is not simply the end result of an abusive, horrifying experience for them, that is the best solution, and should be strived for everywhere...

They have souls. So do plants, but we have to eat them. Having a soul doesn't mean it shouldn't be eaten. It means it should be treated with love and respect.

American Indians were very spiritual people, attuned & respectful to nature.

Yet they hunted, and ate their "prey"
I feel perhaps they understood the balance of nature far better than we do.

While I don't understand the warrior concept, as hunters they respected all life.

No one bothered to define soul, and we may be talking about different things.

While i've never hunted, and don't care for fishing I eat what my body seems to need, yet it's a worthy question.
