Assange has been allowed 2 weeks to appeal to the UK Supreme Court to challenge his extradition to Sweden. Assange’s appeal to the UKSC seems to be that he has not been charged yet by Sweden & a formal charge would be necessary for extradition. The Swedish prosecutor wants Assange extradited to question him.

While I have no idea how international law stands on what is required for extradition from the UK to Sweden, if formal charges HAVE been required before for extradition to be processed, then extraditing Assange could set a precedent that would allow prosectors from one country to extradite an individual from another country for questioning. This could have a far reaching effect.
