Great photo's.
Snails rock, and yes they are intelligent and can find their way back to places besides a lot more as well.
My Rug rats have pet snails that range from Gals ( Giant African Land Sails) to the many varieties of naturally local wild ones.
I share my room with the Snails tanks so have gotten to know a fair bit about snails over the last few years. They also make great pets. I have to say they make me laugh and smile with their antics and I have certainly learnt an awful lot from them. Nature always amazes me with its hidden gems and these guys are certainly one of those gems. These guys want very little in life and are amazingly resilient to things considering there size etc.
Fascinating creature that I loose a lot of time just watching.

... And slugs!
A slug is just a homeless snail!
Everything is worthy of compassion.

You will love this story then!
There was a class on developing your intuitive or psychic abilities.
One woman decided to write a paper on her study of slugs in her garden.
What she learned was how sensual they were.
They can sense and are acutely aware of temperature, basking and
drinking in the warmth...movement all around them...and they spend most of their time procreating.
Amazingly content creatures.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Miss H - one of the most erotic things I've seen is two slugs mating. This was on a David Attenborough programme, 'Life in the Undergrowth'. Amazing.
