People are confused every day by many things.

You can take it up with those that put it down to be read in the bible.

I see how the scripture in first post, has lead people astray.
Which is why I posted the scriptures I posted.
Which I guess I was saying without saying the following:

Before anyone goes converting the world they better be qualified and have some Spirit in their giddy-up.

Many of people have been tortured and killed for not converting correctly.
So who is to blame the converter or the converted.

If people take the Bible scriptures literally, they will have to eat Jesus's flesh and drink His Blood also before handling serpents and drinking deadly drinks.

Catholics have used very harsh tactics along with the Roman Empire to
convert what they call the heathen.

One scripture I like is Matthew 23:14 which reads in the King James Bible as:

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make
long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation"

Why I like this verse is that in some newer Bibles, that verse is left out. Sop what I do is reference
that verse to the back blank pages were it reads

"Brothers, when you see John, provide him will a nice meal".

but.... I still love that verse.

The scripture I have always dwindled on was John 1:1-5 which reads in the NIV Bible as:
