Contemplating existing forever AND not existing anymore both end up terrifying me. Like someone said, I will likely have nothing to fear once on the other side. Who can know until we cross over what its like and what we will be and want. I'm not interested in being comforted with a heaven story or terrified with a hell story. Its a mystery for a reason.

Please no-one argue with me that spirit is a formless state i believe it is a type of form just not a flesh body that exists in the 3rd dimension and spirit is a light form that exist on another dimension we know little about yet but it is still a kind of form ....FOR arguments sake anyway :)

No, you don't have to do this for all eternity, only for a fraction of eternity, to be more accurate, only for a fraction of a fraction of a fraction..........
yet from our perspective in this reality it seams to be longer then eternity.
But the funny thing is, even when you go back to what you call the quantum soup, you still exist.

Yes, I think so, but that's the worst thing that could happen to a fully conscious spirit, to deteriorate into the void and have to 'start' again from 'new' energy.

i imagine that the vibration that manifests "you" is a constant since the Big Bang, that that vibration reverberates for at least as long as this universe lasts. you can't unring a bell.

In spirit emotion is a completely different thing than it is in a human body - we choose what we feel, and thus all we need feel is love and joy. We also choose how we would like to think; the negative thought patterns we had in our human body and the negative emotions we felt can go hang. Spiritual reality is so much more than our human experience. Would you really rather feel nothing than feel joy?

Rosewater, we choose our own challenges on Earth. We are not "tricked" into anything. I know it is hard to believe that we would choose to suffer, but our complete selves know far more than we do, and these experiences will look a whole lot different from the other side of life.

I totally agree with you Westleigh. Those that are having the hardest time with this life, just picked a lot of lessons to learn. Remember life is what you make it. So if it sucks, it's because you choose to believe it does.

Spirit does not have human emotions, they don't have form either, we are merely light. So in a way, you would not be "thinking" there, but simply have all the knowledge you gained through all your lives.

Earth to me is school. We learn things here to report it back to the God-head. The more we learn, the more we ascend to that consciousness of God. To give up on life and commit suicide, is giving up on the gift of learning from the God-head. These spirits usually feel silly for doing so, and come right back into a life and try again.

No one makes us incarnate. We do so because of our love of the God-Head. To be one with that consciousness of pure love. Learning through watching is nice.. but slow. We learn through doing. That is why we incarnate.

We can learn by being spirit and watching people on earth but, unless we've experienced human emotions, gotten through the rough stuff by changing our thoughts and our lives, do we really learn what it is like to be challenged. Spirit has no challenges, it's pure love all the time on the Other Side.

This is how it is explained to me from them. I hope it makes sense.

I would think that if you could truly make this decision that you would find some type of involvement regarding the divine trying to change your mind. or maybe its your path and they will continually show you more reasons to feel or be at such awareness. i think specially if it would hinder your eternal growth they would be more ap to show you better reasoning to remain. but i my self dont want to revisit this plane either. I feel its a mess and unrecoverable.

I believe that when we are in spirit form it is our only goal (to become God like/ reach the state of nirvana) So how ever long it takes and how ever many lifetimes we must have in order to get to that state we will endure. Even if we don't think so now.

We all have moments in life where we wish that we could melt away into the nothingness. These feelings may or may not come from despair, fear, depression, boredom, etc...

However, when you are feeling on top of your game so to speak, then we wish those feelings to last forever. How wonderful is life!

I believe we are here for a reason, one that we chose long before our bodies were even being conceived.
Who knows when we were in spirit, we might have rejoiced over the struggles we would conquer, the hardships we would push past, the lessons only the human life can go through.

I say, just live your life the best you can. Live, Love, Laugh and enjoy...

Peace

In a book I read by Syliva Browne she talked about there being this level where soul become merged with God’s love. Here is a quote

Quote:
Level Seven: The level to which only a few rare souls choice to advance, where the spirit forfeits its identity and is willing absorbed into the “uncreated mass”, or the infinite , unfathomable force field which the love and power of God emanate.
She compares it to dropping a cup of water in the ocean, the water in the cup becomes part of the ocean it still has its own identity but is forever part of the ocean. Maybe that is similar to what the Op is asking.

Once one is back on the other side, the lessons one picked for their current life will be clear and one will remember why they picked this tough situations , at least that’s impression I’ve gotten.
