hmm not yet! If I told you I just picked up a pencil 2 weeks ago, you'd probably all think I'm lying.. but I'm not lol. These I did in those 2 weeks. I'm working on another guide I have, only with colored pencils. Thats really hard!!

Yea I would believe that, I use to try and paint oil portraits and couldn't really get them right, but only two years ago after having cancer everything just fell into place and I couldn't believe what I was painting, strange ?.

I really believe that there is a time for it. I was probably too impatient before to really work at it. I could draw eyes forever hehe. :) I'll keep going and if you guys have tips or tricks... feel free to pass them along ! :)

I don't really think you need many tips, you seem to have your own style already, myself I'm like you, I just do what comes from within.

My mom is an accomplished artist with paints. I'm now her sole caregiver (alzheimer's/dementia) and she has seemingly stopped painting. So I thought.. well if she sees me trying to draw, she'll want to paint again. Not so far, but she sure has fun telling me my noses look funny hahah! :)
That's partly why I decided to try. Thanks for the kudos :) I really never knew I could draw lol |

Aww, what a sweetheart you are to take care of your mom like that.
I'm sure it lifts her spirits and makes her feel good in her soul to see her daughter being artsy.

Your drawings bring out the personalities. I especially like the triangular shape of his right eye...the girl in the hat is very expressive and well-done.
