My mum also suffers with neck pain due to the rubbing of the joints, she started having acupuncture with fantastic results, took away her pain almost immediately and she was able to come off the heavy synthetic opiates the doctors put her onto as well.
I highly recommend this treatment, I hope your mum heals quickly :)
