Will finally test accupunctre on my knee

In a week and a half I will get a dose of treatment for an instable knee. It is an old injury issue and I hope this really goes well!

On another note, i've been checking in here recently and every inspiring post makes me glad I spend my time here. Being positive has to help!!

Hi Elle
They may not treat the knee at the location of the knee. I had acupuncture for my lower back quite a few years ago and from memory the treatment site was on my leg somewhere ...

Hi Sound,
He stuck the pins in from my hip, down my outer thigh, around my knee and in the ankle. A few related sights.

The key thing to remember about Acupuncture is that you MUST use a properly qualified Acupuncturist, not someone who did a weekend course somewhere. The worst offenders are often doctors and physiotherapists - so check the person out BEFORE they stick needles in your body. ALSO avoid anyone who does not use single-use sterile needles.
In the UK, check here for qualified practitioners - the British Acupuncture Council

In other countries, look for the equivalent.

i'm an acupuncturist and it does work. its an ancient medicine from 5000 years and works for most cases. As mentioned above, find somebody who is qualified and went through proper training. He's absolutely right about the doctors and physical therapists who take a weekend course. its not the same as what we endured for 3-4 years worth of education. and it has been part of my culture growing up - its truly Chinese medicine :)
