Bison - WIP
I just started this one today of a Bison - this is a blocking in stage.
It's on an 18 x 24" canvas - I'm working on my fur technique. It's a learning curve. Bison have a nice variety of fur - several kinds of textures to explore...
The bison to me represents a placid gentle animal of great strength and endurance who has survived since the ice age and (thanks to conservation) was brought back from the brink of extinction due to European hunting. They don't normally charge unless provoked... I need to tune into his energy!
