Absolutely agree. This Middle-East philosophising was just the start of the whole train of imaginary tales which followed. Had Robin Hood been around at that time he would now be the main Biblical character. Maid Marion would have played her role too. Never mind the naughty sheriff who wanted to get rid of all these 'good' people.

Considered the possibility of the earth and waters as a metaphor for your own consciousness.
Think about a dream. The mind is void until it begins to 'move' and creates an entire world in which you enter and take part in. You are the God of your dream. You create that world, even though it seems like 'you' are only a participant, you are the creator and everything created.
The reality of our waking experience, IMO, is not that much different. We give form to the formless dark void, only perhaps the source of that information which informs the forms we create within, lies at least in part beyond our selves. As it must be if we are to share this reality with others.
