The waters.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

What are these waters? It seems to me, by reading Genesis, that God created everything else, except the waters, the waters seem to have been already there.

if you take Earth's history, it matches the Bible version of God's history very close. Life began in the oceans and rose from the waters.

You have to remember TM all these stories are not to be taken literally, there written by People who didn't have the knowledge from Science that we have today and they are just trying to fathom out the Wonders of the Universe and putting it into words in the stories they have created themselves. The water was already part of the Earth, about 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered.

To me this always made me think about a state of matter before reaching a solid state, there was only darkness ( void ) and these waters and they were shaped by God in such a way to form the Earth and the other celestial bodies.

Yes life certainly began in Water and evolved and is still evolving into what we have now.

If you at the word Void it is usually used as Empty, when something is Empty it contains Space and has the potential to be filled with anything, something full has no space and cannot be added to.

So the Earth was Void and has the potential to be filled..... with whatever

I don't see God as an Alien but neither do I see God as a Creator, I believe in Evolution...

it all depends on what you believe. I don't think anyone is 100% right or wrong. Anything is possible. If you look at it in a scientific view. Yes it's likely life came from different planets. Micro orgasms riding astroids, comets, and meteors and evolved from there. If you want to look at it in a reglious view. God created everything in 6 days, and partied on the 7th day.

God created the water.

If you look at the first verse in the Bible, it reads:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

The 2nd verse, Genesis 1:2 describes the earth that was created in verse 1 which reads:

"Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."
