Once again there are reports of a large cat-like creature,in the u.k..Witnessed and photographed, the police were out, marksmen and helicopters searched the vicinity,and as always found nothing. The offical response was predictable, a large domestic moggie, a wild cat,or a large dog. Now the animal was sighted a good few hundred yards away, surely a domestic cat ,or for that matter a wild cat(which is not much bigger than a large tom) would be hardly visible,and I dont know about you ,but most people can recognise a dog,of whatever size,for what it is, even at that distance. Finally why is no trace ever found, there were no tracks etc found by the police.Could it be these things only have temporary reality, in all the many of hundreds of reports of big cats, in the u.k. not one has ever been found in the flesh,apart from ,I, think a scottish wild cat some years ago.

Perhaps these big cat sightings are of known species like jaguars, leopards or puma that were people's pets and either escaped or were set free. Then again they could be unknown species.

Here in America there have been many reports of puma in their old range east of the Mississippi and there have been sightings of large spotted cats far north of the jaguar's range.
