Are we all just a computer program

Time and place of birth dictate who you are and the cycles of fortunate/unfortunate life experience, their severity and influence.

So are we just a program? Just data being collected?
Some sort of experiment?

Yes, much of what you do is essentially a program, embedded into your unconscious-manor of going-about-life... and you really wouldn't want it any other way!

From birth you learn how to manipulate your bodily motions in order to sit, crawl, stand, walk and run. You learned how to reach for an item and grip it using your thumb, and then holding it before you without effort.

Everything from the language you use to the beliefs that you hold were programmed into your system -by you- so you wouldn't have to consciously manipulate each muscle and set of muscles each time you moved, and you don't have to constantly come up with a new language or belief structure every-time you attempted to communicate with another.

If you were not programmed then you couldn't survive.

We normally consider programming strictly in terms of our thoughts-about-things, and yet that's likely the least-used part of our brain when it comes to our daily interactions.

Tell you this. if some of the people swanning around in real life are computer programs then their coders never did a unit test let alone a user acceptance test.

Very, very possible. I got caught up in those ideas a while back and came to the conclusions its best to not think that big.

WE are definitely not a computer program as we know them to be. This is the Matrix, and it isn't at the same time.

Everything is energy, and I find its best not to try to figure out with a rational mind, but rather play the part. Have faith that the higher you that's in charge is doing this for the betterment of itself. Everything is an illusion. So whether you call it a dream, simulation, play, illusion, it is all pointing in the same direction. THis is not reality. But it is reality as we know it, so we might as well cooperate with it.

Just think about how a single universe goes from the size of a tennis ball of dense pure LIGHT and expands instantaneously to become what is. IT sounds like the launch of something. Program? maybe. Its beyond our comprehension in my opinion, and contemplating this stuff does no good for the cause the "creator" has. THe only thing that counts is our actions and how we impact the world.

Imagine if you were sleeping, and your dream character fell into a trip, and that character had to get out, but all he did was think about why things the way they are and the origin of everything. We are a though, of a thought, of a thought. We're pretty deep. Altruistic actions will free us.

It is also very, very possible that we simply are love, the unmanifested. And us being here is a way of us to express that love and for us to interact with each other. To evolve and know what darkness is.

Haha yes if we were a program we would definitely be oregon trail.

You can think of living organisms as little programs I guess.
I wish we were just like computer programs (I am a programmer) wouldn't it be fun to just hack other's minds and turn off all negative things.

But then wouldn't it mean that others would be able to hack your mind as well and plant the info they want to in the place of your own? Thankfully we're not nearly that accessible. :)
