talking to the dead

Last month my son and I were sitting in the living room and he pointed to the couch "doesn't it look like the form of someone laying there?" he said. I told him nooo!! He went on to say yes it does and began explaining he was seeing a form that appeared to be someone laying there with head to one side, arms out front, and legs on the opposite side. I laughed it off as I said there is nothing there. The next morning my son woke up and came to tell me of a dream he said was so real, unlike anything he had ever experienced before.
My sons dream:
He said that he was walking down a trail in our town that he normally walks and he met a kid.They hung out for a while, having a really good time and he said the kid told him he was his brother. He said he was soo happy to have a brother that he never knew existed. Then the kid disappeared. My son said he felt really sad and looked everywhere but could not find him. The dream then placed him back at the house playing video games and the kid was next to him and he was happy that they were together again. My son then said he realized that this kid was not a living kid. All this time he had been talking to and hanging out with someone that was dead.
In real life he has no brothers, he is my only son. I'm sure I am missing some pieces that he told me about his dream but he was just so excited and confused about this dream because he said it was just so real. My son then got ready and went to go see some friends. I told him I loved him and he said I love you too mom. 9pm that night would change my life forever. I came home to find my 17 year old son dead on the couch exactly as he had described the night before. He died of a heroin overdose.
was this dream warning him of his own death?, is that even possible?

It is possible for people to have dreams of future events or warning them of events to come. The dream may not have been warning your son of his death, but rather preparing him for leaving this world. His vision of the body on the couch the previous month also seems to indicate that he was being prepared.

It is possible your Son has come in being able to "see" those in spirit and maybe even communicate with them. I have three kids like this and its not always an easy ride for the parent. I am a Medium myself so I grew up with seeing such things but not having the foundation to understand them til I was an adult. I even note that I missed this in my first child til he was two and having issues in his room. Now at 18 for him its just a part of his life and that is normal to him.

There is a couple of possible explanations for this. It could be someone in Spirit from a past life they have shared. Or at times its just how the brain makes sense of whom this could be. Maybe your Son on some level would like a brother ? So in the dream this manifests.

I have to ask here is your Son a bit of a loner a bit inwards in having a lot of others around him ? I ask this as this reflects a lot on my middle child that til middle school never made those more interpersonal interactions. He might be wanting to break out of his shell a bit more.

OK the games here again is that feeling of solo time spent. That feeling of wanting someone there to be a companion with.

It would seem that your Son has Medium abilities that are more open to him. Now its up to him where it all goes. What I do know is that at times its a bit of a ride and you have to embrace knowing when and where to share such things.


In real life he has no brothers, he is my only son. I'm sure I am missing some pieces that he told me about his dream but he was just so excited and confused about this dream because he said it was just so real.

As you can see I never read the "Full" dream as I want to make sure that I do not have outside influences or opinions influence me. OK in real life he has no brother (s) so this could be something that he thinks about at times. I am sure the dream was real in how he felt it and that the boy in it might well have been at one time real and living.

Oh I am so sorry to read this part here, I did wonder if he had passed as I had felt no "life force" from the dream energy. I am so sad for your loss. I an only imagine how this would be as a Mother of three.

I am so sorry that you had to come home to such an event....and to answer your question yes it is possible that he was being made ready for what was to come to him. Its called pre cognitive dreaming. Its where you have a vision of what (might) come to pass, as events can change.

It is possible that his Guide maybe was trying to relay a message that life could make a change but his path was too far set on the course. We can not change things at times.

He shared his dream with you, and that in a way is a blessing as you got a chance to in a way say your good bye, that many miss out on.

Firstly, I'm so sorry to hear about your dear son. That must have been very traumatic for you.
My heart goes out to you ...

Some are here for a long time, some only for a short time.
I can only assume that your son had some unfinished business from his previous life that required him to incarnate for these 17 years.

When it is our 'time', yes, 'deceased' loved ones come to escort us over to the Other Side. [It is a common phenomenon and there are many such reported cases; they are known as pre-death experiences / death bed visions]

So yes, my interpretation of this would be that his brother, from his previous life, came to accompany him over to the spirit world.

The comfort you can take at this time of sorrow is evidence of survival of the spirit and the continuity of life.
Earth is but a pale imitation of the world of spirit. Your son has new life in a world of beauty and wonder.
