It's like eating junk food. The more we consume, the more it impacts our health. The same applies to mind. The more we willingly expose ourselves to impure sensory input the more likely the end result will be impure output. Neuroplacticity.

I would say if we question what we consume as potentially incompatible with our goals it probably is. Just because something makes us feel good in the moment does not mean it's good for us in the long-run. It's just a habit of mind and from my non-dual perspective mind is the first thing that has to be dealt with.

It's sounding like you do have some misgivings and maybe this sheds some light on that?

Ignoring the issue of musical taste, if we waited to be absolutely pure before treading the spiritual path then most of us would never begin the path.

And surely much of the spiritual path is all about the process of purification, mentally, emotionally and physically. We are trying to become clear expressions of Higher Consciousness, which means clearing out all that does not serve this higher purpose.

Which may mean that the things we enjoy at one stage of our life become unimportant at a later stage. We do not have to forcibly deny ourselves the things we enjoy, but they may just naturally fall away.

Of course not, you just need to start with some math and progress from there.

Same applies to spirituality.

As to teaching others, you only need know something they don't know.

Imo, as long as you love what you are listening to and getting involved with I'd say its o.k.

The most important part of ascension is being righteous and just, as long as you're being just about thing's that's all that matters.
