There's a separate category for healing but it's also a very important form of mediumship hence appropriate here also.....

The word 'healing' doesn't necessarily mean the complete elimination of, or cure from, all symptoms and effects of a condition. Spiritual healing MAY have that effect but it may be only partially successful and/or need repeated attention for maximum benefit. That situation occurs with conventional medicine too.

Why does there seem to be some confusion about Mediumship when it involves Healing? For example, how can a person not be a Medium but has done physical healings?

And then there is Healings done by examining and reliving various Past Life events. Are those Healings considered to be the work of a Medium?

What about a person who can see with 'their eyes' open, the bones in a body like an x-ray? That might be construed by some as the 'tool' of a Healer and if so, does that mean that person is a Medium?

I wouldn't dream of trying to speak for those who are confused about healing and mediumship and haven't actually heard anyone saying that they are confused. But in an attempt to avoid confusion....

Spiritualist mediums are often also spiritual healers. Healing is an important service offered by some/many Spiritualist mediums. In so doing, so-called healers act as a channel for spiritual healing energy.

Healers who are not Spiritualist healers may offer other forms of healing but it doesn't necessarily mean such practitioners are then mediums - they may be but they may not.

I'm not qualified to talk about alternative forms of healing eg Reiki, magnetic, color healing etc.

Some mediums focus on evidential mediumship - communication between folk here on earth and their loved ones 'in spirit'.

Some mediums concentrate their efforts on teaching or philosophical issues. Others give more of their time to healing.

I used to see healing and mediumship as separate personal attributes until the penny dropped that healing is a form of communication from the so-called world of the spirit, conveyed via mediumship. Hence my use now of the term 'healing mediumship'.

To me, the various healing modalities seem to be almost identical. For example, Father Hell(er)'s healing modality appears at first to be completely different from Anton Mesmer's Healing Modality but it appears they are one and the same. Father Hell's heart shape piece of steel that was magnetized by a lodestone resonates identically to a magnetic heart shape piece of Hematite some people use today!

So can healing stones, also be included as 'Mediums'?

Yeah I think doctors are also mediums. Wether they heal or make sicker. Doesn't matter. They flow non-physical source energy through their physical body. And transmit that. So they are a medium. We are all a medium. Every human being is a medium.

@bigjohn The confusion lies with healing because people are sick of being sick. But they need to be sick in order to heal.
I don't know, maybe im crazy but thats just what I think.

You appear muddled and I'm just bobjob without the '@' in front of my username - this isn't Twitter. I've already explained in detail what mediumship is so I'll avoid repeating myself.

As I mentioned earlier I'm not knowlegeable about magnetic healing or other forms of healing but they're not part of mediumship (the thread's topic) anyway.
