Hi....is it possible to send another member a photo in a private message without that photo being posted in open forum???

You need to first upload the image on an image hosting service then share its link/reference in private message. There are many image hosting services; i use imgur.com but i don't know how private it is.

Visit your intended recipient's Profile area and there you'll find the option to send the member an email message. You might want to do that and try your image as an attachment.
Or you could trade email addresses with your intended recipient and do it straight from your personal email platform. |

You can open it but it's showing error. There's "**" in the URL, maybe SF thought it was a bad word and then starred it. Does the original URL have "**" too at the same location?

yes there's "**" in the url, nothing I can do about that one

You can upload that particular image on an image hosting service like imgur.com and then use its URL, if you want.
