Indeed its a great insight . Universe tries to achieve the wholeness/completeness come what may and in that endeavor anything is possible.

alchemist vs scientist

We would be better off saying grain of sand is part of universe and it is capable to create wonders (say create a storm ) if universe consciousness acts through it . You can see mirage in desert and it can fool us also .

Conflict between alchemists and scientists is more of European historical context . And that has been a fact many places /periods of time.

But that does not mean there is necessarily a conflict and there is one looser and one winner . If u study history the winner has always been the one whose on the side of the reality/ universe consciousness. And we can differentiate them as real /fake alchemists / scientists.

If u see title of a newton's book Philosophić Naturalis Principia Mathematica , it contains philosophy and not science. People even tell newton was alchemist . So there is not real difference between alchemist and scientists .

World is made of spirit and matter . Alchemists approach reality from spirit side and scientists approach reality for matter side . The goal of both is same to discover the understanding of the world/universe. Both have the tremendous onus to prove their convictions to the world through disciplined logic , efforts and passion that their inferences/axioms reflect reality and its in the interests of world to follow it . World sooner or later has to follow it for its own benefit.

I believe the grain of sand containing the universe is from the book The Alchemist.

Is matter just an illusion of the mind? Is there really an objective reality separate from consciousness? I think that's where science is taking us. We see material things that can be measured but Einstein teaches us that all things are relative. What does that mean? It means when looking at a particle it can be a point in time or a wave depending on which way you look at it. From every angle it looks different. The vision of a cat is different than a humans... can we be so certain that we're all seeing the same color red?

I'm just saying... is there really a material reality or is it all a manifestation of consciousness. What they refer to as Maya. It's difficult to say if we're all just the "thoughts of god" or not. Because in reality, we can look at the patterns, but we have yet to discover the formula to the universe because such a thing doesn't and will likely never exist. This is because consciousness is what drives the manifestations and it contains the element of unpredictability.

Or perhaps William Blake Auguries of Innocence:

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour...

Peace

True . It must be from an alchemist like imthat pointed out . And indeed it is a great feeling.
My point was that there is always gap in understanding between alchemist and normal materialist people . And it was from that perspective that normal materialist people too can understand what is being conveyed .

Indeed matter is an illusion of mind . Objective reality is never separate from consciousness. For the purpose of understanding spirit can be high energy-subject and matter can be low energy - object.

At one level material and spiritual reality is same. Everything is manifestation of consciousness.

Unpredictability comes when number of influencing factors , its composition and its intensities are unknown . Even if u know all these , there is no wasy for one to keep track off all these ever-changing stuff . It's a rider to humanity how to ride this unpredictability and uncertainty .
