Good news for bees: EU bans worst insecticides

The EU has just announced that neonicotinoid insecticides, which have been widely accepted as killing bees on a large scale, will be banned throughout Europe. This is wonderful news for news for bees and other insects. See:

Smile Insects are wonderful.. please protect them

It's a start.. but it is not enough. That's because many species have become dependent on gardens and not just nature areas. Most of agriculture is basically a desert! To really have a stable bee population we need to have nature friendly gardens. Bees can't just rely on protected nature areas. Because of intensive agriculture insects cannot gap the large distances between habitats. They need to rest too..

The solution is to create nature friendly gardens.. That means gardens with a variety of flowers..
Good for bees, bumblebees, insects in general. That is good for the birds too and necessary for fruit production..

Please.. if you read this... help the cause and make a nature friendly garden..

This is very good news and a positive step forward. I am glad to see the UK also is willing to participate.

But this....:
"Manufacturers and some farming groups have opposed the move, saying the science remains uncertain." (quoted from above link at BBC.)

?? Uncertain?
