I have never had to cord cut since learning how to have and express personal boundaries and connecting with my own authentic emotional world.

It seems I have a different view on 'cords', that goes further than the "Oh, I want nothing to do with you so I'm cutting the cords"..
I don't think it works that way, connections go way deeper than our 'human' wishes.
And if you think about it, everything and everyone is already connected, always and forever, so...

You might be right........
but when I hear 'cutting the cords', the first thing comes to my mine is feeling energy and then feeling and following the 'cords' connecting us to others. Some people can go to a psychic and have those cords cut. Believe it or not, some people pay 'good money' to have that done.

ScorpioRising, maybe you understood something others haven't already ? Could be. Maybe to you it means nothing, to others it's a tool to realize there's nothing to cut, since as you said we're all connected. What I take from that is you try to look deeper than just the cords, or what has annoyed/hurt/*insertfeelingnamehere*. It seems to relate to RedEmbers and NativeSpirit's posts and boundaries. I guess it's true, if you set some you make things healthy.

Maybe there's nothing to 'cut' and it's about energy. The 'cords' will continue to exist, but you can choose
whether you want to put energy into it to keep it 'alive' or not by not fueling it anymore. The 'cord' is still there but not 'active'..
But I'm just guessing, who knows what's really going on under the surface..
