Bracelets with crystals explode when they get too charged with energy.
I have seen this with chakra brackets, usually the same stone will be the initiation point but the particular stone depends on the wearer. Unsurprisingly its the stone that matches with the chakra having issues (trauma).
Such explosions can be prevented via regular energy clearing of the bracelet.
Of course in the case of chakra related stones, clearing the trauma or at least the draining the excess (not all) energy out of the chakra helps too.

Thats kinda scary knowing they can explode like that.......
Yes cleansing them is a good idea I guess!!
