What are the best apps to let me know which planets are in a certain sign...? Thanks in advance and also what are the best books to read..?

I was very effected watching this movie Docu - over an hour...and Kepler's equations used by NASA today..and how positions effected world events.
Don't let the title deceive you ...it starts out with a guy wanting to know what the heck was that star of Bethlehem anyway?
He explains much more with an app able to move the sky on a screen to exactly where it would have been in,
say, Iran when an event happened in 70 AD.

I know understand more, because of this presentation ....that everything is like this planned out matrix of interlocking, intersecting perfect energies -
of course, including planetary positions.
And he brings up Biblical writings involving Virgo Rising ...etc.

I don't really use apps but a good website is Astrodienst. That gives free birth charts and shows the current position of the planets and their transits with the natal chart.
