What is "Spirit"?......Proclaimed here -

Spirit according to the Scriptures (Bible) is:
1 Corinthians 2:12 "And we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit that is from Elohim (Hebrew for God), in order to what Elohim has favorably given us,..."

2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now YHWH is the spirit, and where the Spirit of YHWH is, there is freedom.

Note: YHWH means in Hebrew "I am that I am" This is the proper name of Elohim and was given to Moshe (Moses) on Mt. Sinai recorded in Exodus Chapter 3 - specifically 3:14. This name appears in Scripture approximately 7,000 times. Many translations including most English titles replace it with titles (Lord, Adonai (Lord), Hashem, etc. these are the most common) and other improper substitutions originating from the Idea that the name YHWH was to Holy to pronounce. This was a man made presupposition. YHWH indeed does want His name spoken or He would not have revealed it to men. whom YHWH created to love and serve Him. When Scripture refers to Men YHWH is speaking of Mankind.

Yahshua is the proper Hebrew translation for Jesus. Yahshua is Hebrew and the name the Saviour of the World referred to as He walked the earth. Yahshua is The Word of YHWH as recorded in John 1:1-5. Yeshua is actually Aramaic. Yahshua is correct because Yahshua is Hebrew born.

Some words are English and Hebrew words are translated.

Written by a Sheep that is Scattered but not forgotten. More to come, I am not a Rabbi (teacher/shepherd) but rather an evangelist and one who proclaims Yahshua's Word to those that would hear. More to come. Pray and look up for your redemption draws near! I sit under a trained Messianic Rabbi and have His direction and approval. Most importantly I am sent by YHWH in Yahshua's name Amein. (Amen)

I remember someone saying to me that spirit was also 'breath'. Not sure where or when though...

Try Genesis 2:7 and I quote: (I like to start at the beginning) "And YHWH Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of lives. And the man became a living being."

I know that is not a direct quote of what you are mentioning. A Strong's concordance is a great tool and can open up Scripture....I am not advanced in worldly thought and practice but if you ever find something else, well, I like to be informed, thanks friend...Scattered but not lost.

this is considered true, breath is also the Word, although that part of the book of John, in the Bible is also pretty much word fort word of one of the Indian Vedas, where they also have the idea of the Word of God having been Sound, and thus the Sound came before the Light at the moment of creation...this concept is to be found in the Torah as well as the Vedas, and can also be found in ancient Egyptian religions....it is pretty amazing the similarities that exist between nearly all religions, they by far outweigh the differences...

And the favor of our Master was exceedingly increased, with belief and love which are in Messiah Yahshua. 1 Timothy 1:14
