Creepy Babies in Danger

Sounds like a 50's cheesy horror flick. What can anybody make of this one?

I'm walking down a neighborhood street and spot a fire hydrant in someone's yard. There's some tallish (6-7 inches high) grass around the base of the hydrant. I noticed an infants foot sticking out of the tall grass so I go look closer. I get to the fire hydrant and look in the grass and notice a baby that is half buried by the hydrant. It looks alive and is sucking its thumb but it is half buried in the ground with the hydrant on top of a portion of it.

I continue walking and in the next yard I pass there is another infant. This one is not buried but has a rattlesnake coiled around it. I don't know for sure that the baby was in danger because the snake seemed more concerned with running me off. I didn't run off so the snake "stood up" - while still being coiled around the infant - and walked across the street away from me. I cant describe how this looked.

Any ideas for this strange one?

Keeping a part of yourself suppressed? Also protecting yourself from others. The snake and the baby is parts of yourself. This could relate to how you are feeling in a real life situation.

I would say that the babies represent inner innocence. This could be your or other people in your life and what they do to protect themselves. Some put up a guarded front warning you off or they will strike while others keep their emotions bottled up until an emergency happens and it all comes gushing out. Maybe they hold things in until they blow up. So it could be that you engage in going back and forth between the two coping strategies to protect your vulnerable side or you are seeing this kind of coping response from others in your life and you are trying to make sense of it. But essentially we all chose different kinds of coping responses to protect our vulnerabilities and some can seem aggressive but it is merely for protection and not to be mean or hurtful to others. This is why we are all innocent in a way. We are really responding to life in fear of being hurt and we take the best way we know how or what we only know. Usually what was taught us by our parents.
