The firewall for chat would be the same as here on thread ? Or is that different?

it SHOULD pose no problem, but there is a chance you'd have to allow the chat on your firewall...are you able to get into a room at all?

Yes Shabda .. can get in room but I rarely post a line .. because it freezes .

It keeps freezeing when I use it and I can't change my text color, I get the message its opening a new window and then it drops my connection.

Worked a bit better for me today. still froze up a couple times but I can deal with that and still chat. Thanks for the answers as to why this might happen!
