I would say no especially believing it as permanent and believing in reincarnation and therefore change. There is a third option but no one ever considers it so it's not discussed. Something to consider about change (becoming versus being)? Is it thought I in body think I do or think the same as soul/spirit would especially without body? There are people who act in negative ways yet so much of our negativity is simply from our past and being here. A person can be different depending on many outside influences that occur and don't occur. We do not experience what we don't that is in potential we know could happen and must. We see the differences that are not permanent but transitory. So much being circumstantial and influence the body such as environment, a time period, different situations, different incarnations, different levels of knowledge that are in multiple experiences, all that happens that have the same meaning. All that influence is physical. Any such concept would be after many many tries (life times). But are different in each one. I don't see a single one can make it in one try especially if one has been here and there many times.

Spirituality, to me, has nothing to do with spirits or the afterlife when the body dies. It is the quality of being alive in the here and now when "you are in the zone" and everything is going right.
