Can wolves smile? Also a lovely fact about wolves

Can they smile silly? Or does it only happen with wolf-dogs

Okay lovely fact
When there's another animal trying to hurt a wolf couple, the female lowers her head and puts it right beneath the male's chin snuggling into the neck
Some might say she's trying to hide from the attack, but no she's actually trying to protect the male's neck so he has more protection from dire injury

Some animals who are very close to 3D might make attempts.
