I believe you, thank you.
I have heard stories from people too, with contact with him.
He inspired people...that's really all I care about him.

Honza. So this vibbutti that’s pouring out of the picture, what’s that all about. I mean what are you supposed to do with that stuff and what does that mean exactly?

Thanks

I guess it means that you are recognised by him and that he is treating you to a miracle. Life is pretty mundane. For a picture on your wall to suddenly start creating holy ash is exceptional. It is unexplainable. A little nod from the divine. That is my take on it.

It's possible that he has several of the same ring and did the ol' swicheroo. The ash thing is anecdotal so the likelihood of it being untrue is considerable. I don't blame people for wanting to believe he's a miracle maker, but from what I've seen on video, trickery is also a plausible explanation. IOW, it's 'possible' he's performs miracles, but there is also a mundane explanation.

Since there is video evidence of him doing tricks, at least some of his supposed miracles were faked and Ethical questionability is thereby established.

That is probably true, but there's such a thing as a valid complaint and there's video evidence of trickery. Maybe it doesn't matter that he misled people, but to me, being a holy man doesn't absolve him from moral conduct.

I recall that when I was in college, a small group of us would sometimes sit in someone’s home, where there was a Sai Baba picture and we would generally chant or simply listen to a scripted prayerful melody. The atmosphere was charged with a surreal calm and yes, Vibhuti or sacred ash would ‘appear’ on the photograph of Sai Baba.

The rational mind seeks explanations but there was none offered. I know first hand of healing miracles performed by anonymous sages who have no interest in publicity. It is what it is. It hardly matters if we accept or reject. The omnipresent energy seeks no applause.

If someone is known to use tricks whilst presenting him/her self as sincere (even holy) then knowledge of this will be valuable to anyone who wants to know the truth. That may be viewed as mocking or complaining if one's a believer but not if one wants to know or knows what's going on.
