Question about Soul Groups

Hello all,

I have been reading Michael Newtons work on soul groups and it has made me uneasy. I am concerned to hear that we often reincarnate with the same souls and take turns being family members, lovers, friends, etc. It is weird to think that I could marry someone who was a family member in a past life and this has caused me to worry about it a lot since I have OCD.

Does anyone have any insight or reassurance to give on this? It has put me in a spiral for a week now.

Gee, I dunno if this will be reassuring.
I mean I'm not Miss Hepburn, female born in the US.
I'm my soul, the soul is me ---has no nationality, gender or age.

The relationship of love and learning with another is what counts--
so whether in one life one is my mean, female boss, but was my brother,
makes no diff.

I have a casual high school friend - we had a magnetic pull to each other at a class Reunion..uncanny.
I happen to have weird visions of things outta the blue ...a month later it 'struck me' like a movie scene ---'OH, she was my mother
and I was her only child, no dad - we were best friends, only love'...
I saw the whole scene in the city we lived -like 1700s.

Sister, husband, neighbor: diff roles ---the external body makes no diff...it's the growing in knowledge and love that is the
'Play'---like actors we play various roles.
We also get well-rounded experiences to develop understanding and compassion.

Ha, the classic - do not like a certain race? Guess what you will be born as next life! LOL

PS Loving your child, loving your wife ---it's just love; love is love.

Would it help to think of a soul group as like a group of actors who get together to perform different plays? Each individual Soul is an actor and the personality expressions are the different roles in each drama.

So in one play you take on the role of a parent and someone else takes on the role of your child. Then in the next play you are both playing different roles, and this time that someone else might be your husband or wife. It is not as if you have married your child. You are both playing new roles. And from a soul perspective, these are just roles, variations of relationships which provide particular learning experiences.

Like you when this first showed itself to be I thought no, no, no - this is wrong,it can't be but each time I see,recognize another soul from my soulgroup have a different role in another life than in this one it does not feel wrong from a soul perspective, it can actually help knowing but one still has to stand firm with two feet in this reality and let the other be like just a dream with a message. One might understand for example why certain traits has been inherited from one life to the other. Each role has a purpose. I agree with miss hepburn and iamthat. Love is love and the lives are like being part of a play, have a certain role one needs to play. one has to look beyond the flesh and the character. If one can't handle it i don't think it is shown to you, it is only shown when you are ready and usually people don't remember these sort of things anyway, but if it comes to surface it will help explain certain things that may not have made any sense to you before this life around.

We are peas in a pod. Or grapes in a cluster, if you like. There are probably millions such clusters. We who are in the same cluster travel through time together, our temporary lifetimes interweaving as we keep bumping into each other, and we are probably having a few laughs when we meet on the other side and compare score cards. But each cluster does not claim a specific area for us to be reborn into. I'd say most of my cluster is spread all over the planet and most of the people I ever met and connected with have belonged to other clusters. The odds of marrying someone I was related to in a previous life would be pretty small. Could happen, but if so I think it would most likely be because the Powers That Be wanted it that way.
