the word "angel" being tainted

I think most any religious tradition has it's ideas of Angels.

Hindus have seemingly countless Gods and Demigods.

The Jewish have Elohim and Cherubim - not sure if Arch Angels are from the Jewish traditions or purely Christian.

Buddhists have Devas and Dakinis (Sky Dancers) - not sure if they are included in the Theravada (teachings of the Elders) or not, but I do know that the teachings of the 31 planes of existence are and it can be found at

Buddhism also teaches of there having been more than one Historical Buddha. Depending on the branch this may range between about 7 to virtually countless ones.

I've read in several sources that the word Anglo means Angel
English with its Hindu, Greek, Hebrew, Germanic, and Latin roots
is such an amazing language I wish I knew more of it.
