In another thread, I began a 'discussion' about the 27 Buddhas prior to our current Buddha and Maitreya.

Can you image entering a Temple devoted to these Buddhas and seeing their respective statues all radiant in gold? I have.

Thanks Tim for your inspiring comments.

As a desert, imagine going inside one of the Temples that display all 29 Buddhas in statue form ........ and feel the energy.

I used to visit on a regular basis a giant reclining Buddha statue. Something I do not think most visitors saw behind the Buddha were 108 Alms bowls (bowls monks use in the morning to beg for food in the morning) lined up in a nice row. Today, some of those Alms Bowls are known as Singing Bowls. As for those 108 Alms Bowls, some people would drop coins into the bowls which made an interesting sound.

That's interesting to know !

I can only imagine the energy in the temple, but it must be powerful.
