What I was trying to say, is that I can see how yoga could possibly be a moving meditation. But it is some kind of intuition that tells me this. I certainly don't see it on the videos I experiment with, or in any classes either.

I do like to have some type of teacher telling me which asana to do next. But I think maybe the fluidity comes when alone. I'm not sure.

Does anyone have thoughts?

Yoga as a exercise system is called hatha yoga. Hatha yoga is not necesarily meditative, unless one does it in a state of awareness/mindfulness. In fact any action, including jogging or swimmming for that manner is meditation if it is done in awareness.

Most practice the asanas mechanically not aware of this distinction , as they are just focussed on the health benefits. But doing it in awareness, and making a meditation out of the physical exercises, can amplify the benefits.

Just like Tai Chi, hatha yoga is useful for building awareness, due to its slow actions , if done consciously and not mechanically.
