Yes....if they were still around that would have meant no sinful people today or death.

No....Jehovah did not create man to live on Earth forever. Revelations 21:1...."Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."
Clearly a new earth was promised meaning the end of the old earth.

As I attempted to explain earlier......neither the serpent or God lied....based on their individual understandings of what life and death meant. Just as if you and I disagreed on one particular thing....neither of us is intentionally lying.....we are simply coming from different points of view and are being truthful to our understandings.

Heaven will not be destroyed and a new Heaven replace it. It means Heaven will become 'new' as it was in 'the beginning'. The Earth will not be destroyed and replaced with a new 'Earth' but will be restored to its original purpose.

The idea of Paradise Lost to Paradise Restored was always for the Earth.
