India

India to me is a paradise realm. I long to live there someday and in future lives to incarnate there. America has certain drawbacks in my opinion. The whole Hinduism religion I like very much. The deities of India are my favorite ones. Like Rama the warlord. That is my favorite deity. I call myself that sometimes and go to real high states of consciousness. Krishna and Arjuna to. They are the key people in the book called the Bhagavad Gita. That is my favorite Hindu book. I used to carry it on me always. I also like Hanuman the monkey. He is a disciple of Rama. The book called the Ramayana is a real good read as well. It is about Rama and Hanuman fighting a battle to rescue Sita Rama's consort. I used to watch youtube vlogs/videos of certain areas in India. I particularly like Bangalore. It is known as the silicon valley in India. Lots of tech companies are there doing software. I like software greatly. That would be a fun place to live. Goa is also one of my favorite areas right by the ocean. So Hinduism is my favorite religion in a way. India people are greatly misunderstood. They are the highest people there are. If you met a person from India they are the nicest people you could ever meet.

Hello Vajradhara!

Great thoughts. Yes, in India, we are spoilt for choice as far as gods go. I’m from India but do not believe in idol worship and yet, why not actually? Passing by a Hanuman temple or any other, I pause and merge the heart of the deity into my own (or vice-versa), both being essence of the one light.

I'm sure that India is not only it's own sub-continent it also exists within it's own spiritual dimension. In many ways I fear it. It is very different from other spiritualty. What? No time, space or relativity? Approach with caution I say.

Dieties

Hi Unseeking Seeker. How do you merge the heart of the Diety into your own?

This knowing was spoonfed! Once, during a deep meditation, Lord Shiva appeared and drew me into His heart (preceded by a communication about first accepting purity of heart) and showed me the ‘dweller of His heart’, which was formless blue electricity in incessant motion, renewing itself within itself, pure awareness, somewhat outlined as a monk in a meditative lotus position.

The message was that all that is, is God alone , who vitalises all forms with His presence within each. As such, if we pray to any deity, we, meaning the light in us, is seeking to merge with the light in it, both being the same but perhaps for the moment, vibrating at different frequencies. Thus, taking the frequency of the master or deity to be higher, meaning closer to the Absolute, the merger raises our frequency too, the word ‘our’ meaning mind-body consciousness, feeling separate from source.

Reworded, we may say there are two of us in here, one is the false self or ego and the other is our true being, which we may simply call Self with a capital S. The one who seeks or prays is the ego. Our true being is God Himself or we may say the Self, inseparable from God. Since we live in the body, as long as we think we are this, it is helpful to play the game of seeking union with God, so that one day identity falls away and then, all that remains, is as always was, God alone.

All is God

Hello Unseeking Seeker.

Shiva as I understand is the destroyer or transformer. All sadness is destroyed. I agree all is God. All is good.

@ Vajradhara ~ Shiva the destroyer? Destroyer of ignorance perhaps, yes. We need to look at the trinity as a whole.

Trinity

As I understand it the trinity is Brahma - the creator. Vishnu - the preserver/sustainer and Shiva the destroyer. Is this the trinity you are reffering too?

Yes, that’s right. Same as the Christian trinity or trika in Kashmir Shaivism.

Beyond symbols, look at it this way:

A thought is created
The thought is sustained
In time, the thought is destroyed

A breath in us is born
The life breath enlivens us
The breath is then relinquished

Ego (identity) is born
The ego is then nourished
The ego is finally annihilated

There are Self-realised masters in the US like Gangaji, Amoda Ma Jeevan, Leonard Jacobson, Adyashanti, Robert Adams, Jac O' Keeffe, Dr. Frederick Lenz,
Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, Gary Webers, Franklin Merrell-Wolff and so on.

As an Indian Hindu I have learnt a lot from them as well.
