Star Carr and Thornborough Henges.

These deer head dresses were found during excavations at Star Carr and have been dated to about 9500 BC - before Britain became an island.
The henges were built about 5500 BC.
Almost identical head dresses were noted in Siberia by Victorian explorers.

Herne the Hunter.... OK I know already...

Quote:
For such an iconic figure, there is surprisingly little written evidence for Herne the Hunter before the 1840s.
Shakespeare as the earliest source merely describes Herne the Hunter as "a spirit" and "sometime a keeper … in Windsor forest" who is seen to "walk round about an oak, with great ragg’d horns" at midnight during winter-time.

But the thing about fiction and Myth (Myth being a female Moth ...in case you didn't know)...Is that all Myth and fiction has one fundamental foundation.

TRue, Neville. I firmly believe that, if you dig hard enough into every legend, myth, call it what you will - you will unearth another piece of the jigsaw of Truth.
