Simplifying Christianity

Is simplifying something an aid or a hindrance to understanding something ? People can write daily pages and pages speaking of the intricacies of a certain subject. Is that encouraging or is it discouraging ?

Matthew 6:33….”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

If one is on a spiritual journey how high on our priority list should this be ? I have many thoughts…..steps, if you will, that proceed from this one verse. Any thoughts on this subject ?

I think simple is easier.
Love God with all your heart ...Seek the Kingdom of God, Do not worry, Trust in the Father, Cast your cares, Ask believe and receive ...
do under others...Focus on the things above and the things on the earth, Be anxious for nothing...
pray unceasingly, put on your armor, Delight in the Lord, Be still and know God.
So simple and basic a child can understand this...Simple is way better for me.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

The fundamentals of Christianity have evolved, sometimes for the best other time's for the worst. I personally think it depends on the individual....

Understanding of "spiritual journey" is en spiritual evolutionary path.
This path described by Paul in 1 Cor 13, one starts blind and through gaining of knowledge (Gnosis) growth spiritually. From Jesus Christ to Christ Jesus.

Exercise for simplicity: Die tonight…be born again on waking. This is joining the rhythm of life. Die to every hindrance of the previous day. The only function of re-membering is to bring back to life that which had life. See the symbolic spiritual purpose of either your evening or morning shower. Break the overnight fast with your morning breakfast……contemplating the value of that fast. In short bring attention to your daily rhythm and their purpose. All simple and short but with significance…"..

Hmmm how would I simplify it at this moment?

Experience as only your true being, focusing only on objective reality.

To answer the questions. I think simplicity takes genius. The ability to say or teach what is needed in the moment, in a way people can understand and work with. Then, when they're ready for more, they can receive more, and even in that, we can seek simplicity.

Take Christianity for example. I think Jesus kept things pretty simple, even though he was dealing with very deep issues. I think all the books that have been written about Jesus and his teachings (IMO) are a distraction from his message and an evidence that the people writing them (generally - though not all) haven't a clue what he taught or how he lived, though they may identify as Christians.

Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Very true. Simple and clear. The practice is also simple, but we make it challenging by holding on to our lives, and our plans! :)

Paul talked about not being deceived from the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3). I think that's important. There are so many people teaching spirituality today, but they nearly always lead away from the simplicity found in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

His righteousness= YHWH(Jehovah)--that is who Jesus points his true followers to= the Father to accomplish this-John 4:22-24. Jesus gives all credit to his God and Father in everything he did. John 5:30)--Because YHWH(Jehovah) is the only true God just as Jesus teaches at John 17:3
