Autumn in the Midwest: The colorful foliage, heavy sweaters, cold rainy mornings in a coffee shop with steamy windows. The smell of burning leaves. I miss it.

Sights: snowflakes, leaves in autumn, heart rocks and Ella playing by herself in the yard when she thinks no one is looking.
Smells: rain after a long dry day and the air smells like soil.
