a trip through time and space 1
[CE this dream begins in an urban environment. i was with a group of friends who i do not know in waking reality(although one bore a strong resemblance to a close friend of mine and may have been an unconscious representation of him) on a quest. i remember this quest led us to many different places. as far as i can recall in the dream we were in a government building with 7 floors,and we were on the fifth. the head of this particular bureau was saying"i'm sorry but there is no way we can possibly help.good luck on your search"so we went downstairs. it so happened that the stop for public transit was located exactly at the ground floor outside this building, but as soon as we sat down on the bench someone said"not there. the train you want will stop there" i looked to see who had spoken. it was a boy,in black trousers and a dark blue shirt, with hair about the color of molasses. he was to a bench about 50 feet away. so we went to the other stop. after about 5 minutes an inner city transit car stopped at the place we had just left. about 2 minutes after that a cigar shaped train car larger than the other one pulled up, and stopped where we were sitting. it was very different from the standard urban transit. for one thing, it was solid silver. and it moved silently.after remaining stationary for about 1 minute the doors opened , and we boarded. it was strikingly different from the usual rapid transit car. it was much larger and the seats were cotton instead of vinyl or foam , increasing the comfort level for the passengers. what stood out the most was a panel similar to an elevator panel,but much larger,taking up the entire front left hand corner from the roof to the floor. it was full of symbols and letters at first seemed incomprehensible. but then i looked closely and happened to recognize Russian letters, and Greek,then Hebrew,and Armenian and realized these were different alphabets from the world. one of my friends "what is that? it takes up so much space" "as far as i can tell it is alphabets from around the world" "odd" the boy said "what you have seen is every alphabet in the world" i said this was very remarkable and unusual. he agreed. we had been riding on the train for some time when i heard a PING much like the sound you hear when someone pulls the cord on a bus. when we looked up to see where the train had stopped were we in for a surprise. this is longer dream than most and a bit more complex so i think for the sake of brevity i will post it in two parts
