Working on a wolf painting, a request..
Started yesterday, very exciting, a challenge, as I've never painting fur before, plus getting eyes and muzzle properly aligned .. But I'm quite happy so far!

As for the dress, yes .. sigh.. a girl can dream, haha.
If ever I get married again, it's gonna be in that style and colour dress :p
So I got the dress sussed, now I gotta find the groom, lol

Done some more work
Didn't want to do the owl, quite difficult to paint, so I tried to not do it and come up with another idea for days, but he insisted. Somehow there needs to be an owl in it. Gonna look up what its meaning as a power animal was. Sort of remember, but need to brush up on it.

I don't want to sound arrogant, but I agree with you, haha. I can't take my eyes off of this painting! It's like a lot of things are finally coming together, things I could never paint in the past. Like skin tones, not there yet, but I'm starting to get the hang of it!
And the transparency of the sleeve because of the light behind it... I really didn't think I could pull it off, had no idea how to achieve that effect and it just worked itself out!
I'm also working on doing shadows in this painting, something I usually didn't do. Small details, but have to admit that it makes a lot of difference!
Makes me very happy, because after some 4 years of painting, I feel I'm finally getting somewhere! Just fingers crossed that I didn't jinx it now by saying this, and that I'm not gonna mess this one up now, haha. |
