Contemplating on Harmony

Hello all.

Do we tend to thinking that the establishment of peace and harmony as being some future possible success ? ----perhaps we would be better advised to consider instead that existing disharmony, discord and divisions as being both personal and collective failure?

Hello petex,

Harmony and discord go hand in hand.

Just look at nature.

Humans think too much.

In my opinion, there will never be peace and harmony,we are all different souls on a different path.
Perhaps that is the way it is mean't to be, so that we can learn from our mistakes.

Hello all.

We are a part of nature, a species amongst others having the capability to understand cause and consequence by means beyond, yet in addition to, personal experience. We do so by thinking, recalling, recording, observing, etc.

By the use of such tools we sometimes reach understanding.

Perhaps our greatest tool is an ability to understand ourselves, our own behaviour and motivations.

If your post indicates that the state of our world is both an individual and shared responsibility, then I agree.

I learnt long ago we are all responsible for everything.

Hello janielee.

The OP is an attempt to suggest that we are more likely to be more personally and collectively motivated to put our efforts into cleaning up if we first acknowledge that we have personally and collectively messed up.--even if unintentionally.
Not as a guilt trip, but simply as a recognition.

It is relative.

Dependent on our state of mind,
it can be an issue or not.

The answer reflects who we are.

Hello BigJohn.

Thinking that in the all inclusive web of interconnected interdependent process of cause and consequence which is a reality of existence, our part--both personally and collectively--is performed by how we are, not by who we are.
